Rugby | South Africa name team to play France WRWC 2025
South Africa head coach Swys de Bruin names his matchday 23 to play France at Franklin's Gardens on Sunday, 7 September.

Babalwa Latsha, the most capped prop in South Africa women's history, will captain the team for the first time at this level as De Bruin makes several changed to the team that beat Italy last time out.

Mary Zulu (pictured) will make her tournament debut at fly-half. There will also be first appearances at RWC 2025 Anathi Qolo at second row, Luchell Hanekom (hooker), Xoliswa Khuzwayo (prop), Nomsa Mokwai (second row) and Faith Tshauke (back row) set to make their first appearances from the bench.

The most capped Springbok women's scrum-half Tayla Kinsey will play in her third Rugby World Cup if she comes off the bench.

Only Chumisa Qawe in the backs starts in the same jersey as last week, while Byrhandrѐ Dolf and Nadine Roos start at full-back and scrum-half respectively, having played wing and full-back against Italy.
