South Africa's former world number 31 Lloyd Harris is back in action after a seven-month layoff to recover from wrist surgery. The 25-year-old is competing in his second tournament this week at the Nonthaburi Challenger II (ATP Challenger 75) in Thailand.

Harris got his campaign off to a winning start with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Kasidit Samrej of Thailand. He will face Germany's Mats Moraing in the second round.

Harris announced last June that he will miss the rest of the 2022 season due to a right wrist injury. The Capetonian reached his first ATP Challenger semifinal since 2020 last week, defeating Hsu 6-7(7), 6-3, 6-4 in Nonthaburi!
