Ramphadi into 2023 Daegu Open wheelchair tennis tournament semis

6Apr
South Africa's Donald Ramphadi showcased his impeccable skills as he advanced to the semifinals of the Daegu Open wheelchair tennis tournament, beating Shota Kawano of Japan 6-1, 6-4. The match saw Ramphadi dominate right from the start, showcasing his athleticism and experience to defeat Kawano convincingly.

Ramphadi's impressive form, however, was not enough to take him to the doubles final, as he lost a hard-fought semifinal match with his partner Koji Sugeno against the duo of Tomas Masaryk and Ymanitu Silva. Despite a strong start, Ramphadi and Sugeno couldn't maintain their momentum, eventually succumbing to a 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 defeat.

Looking ahead, Ramphadi will be facing off against Heath Davidson of Australia in the semifinals. The two are expected to put on an exciting display of wheelchair tennis as they battle it out for a place in the tournament's final. Ramphadi's recent success and his consistent performances on the tour make him a formidable opponent, and it will be interesting to see how he fares against the tough competition ahead.
