Montjane and Rampahdi Secure Doubles Titles at Victorian Open | Tennis

 

SA’s wheelchair tennis stars, Kgothatso Montjane and Donald Rampahdi, have clinched the women’s and quads doubles titles, respectively, at the Victorian Open, an ITF 1 Series event in Victoria, Australia. Montjane and her Japanese partner, Yui Kamiji, claimed victory after defeating the Chinese pair of Luoyao Guo and Zhenzhen Zhu 6-3, 6-4 in the women’s doubles final. Meanwhile, Ramphadi and Tomas Masaryk of Slovakia saw off the Brazilian pair of Leandro Pena and Ymanitu Silva 1-6, 6-1, 10-5.

Montjane and Rampahdi will now move on to the Melbourne Open, an ITF Super Series in Melbourne, which runs from January 14 to 19, 2024, before the Australian Open.
