CURRO TENNIS STAR MAKES IT TO ITF JUNIOR 1
The Curro International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior 1 tournament is currently taking place at Curro Hillcrest in Durban with top under 18 players from all over the world participating.
Following her participation at the African Junior Teams Championships in Egypt recently, local tennis player and Curro Hillcrest learner, Kaitlyn Ramduth (seeded at 1486) received a wild card to participate in the Curro ITF Junior 1 tournament’s main draw starting on Tuesday, 2 August. Kaitlyn also received a wild card for the Junior 2 ITF tournament last week where she won against the 8th seeded Sage Loudon from the USA in the first round but lost against SA’s Erin McKenzie in the second round. The Junior 1 wild card was awarded to Kaitlyn as a reward for her performance during last week’s Junior 2 event.

The Curro ITF Junior 1 tournament is the Gold Standard competition in junior and professional tennis for players around the world. It's 2022’s biggest junior international tennis tournament series in Africa and this calibre of tennis has not been showcased in Durban ever.
