Hosted by Curro Durbanville High School, the tournament celebrates talent, sportsmanship and school spirit, offering learners the chance to develop their golfing abilities and represent their schools on a national stage.

Scheduled for 1 to 3 October 2025, the three-day open will feature the country's finest young golfing talent across three prestigious Western Cape courses. The tournament will culminate in what is set to become South Africa's leading scholastic golf event, opening doors for the country's next golfing stars.

'We're levelling the playing field,' says Executive Head at Curro Durbanville, Riaan Stroebel. 'Every talented learner deserves the chance to compete at the highest level, no matter where they come from or what resources their school may have. This tournament is about uncovering potential, celebrating excellence, and giving young golfers a platform to shine.'

The tournament will test players across three top-tier courses – Kuils River Golf Club, Paarl Golf Club at Boschenmeer and Atlantic Beach Links, each offering unique and demanding layouts for the country's most promising young golfers.

Designed to accommodate a range of abilities, the tournament includes both individual and team competitions across two divisions. Teams of four, supported by a team manager, will compete in a 54-hole stroke play format, offering the perfect opportunity for both seasoned players and emerging talent to highlight their skills.

Tournament highlights include a welcome gala at Curro Durbanville, a double-round championship day at Paarl Golf Club and the high-stakes final round at Atlantic Beach Links. The event will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony to celebrate the outstanding performances of all participants.

Entries close on 5 September 2025, as there are only 30 team spots available. 'This tournament is about more than just crowning champions,' says Stroebel. 'It's about connecting schools, building national camaraderie and raising the standard of school golf across the country.'
