Lill, who ended second in the Cape Epic earlier this year, was initially meant to race alongside Mariske Strauss and Alan Hatherly in the green and gold for the cross-country mountain biking (XCO) event at the Games but unfortunately, 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Alan Hatherly was out of the Games due to scheduling, while fellow mountain biker Mariska Strauss has withdrawn after testing positive for Covid-19, leaving Candice as the sole representative for SA!

Listen to Candice as she gives feedback on her experience, of competing and representing South Africa on an international scale at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
