Olympics |  Paige Badenhorst getting Team SA started in the heats of the Women's Single Scull

We're thrilled to announce that the rowing competition is officially underway at the Paris 2024 Olympics! Team South Africa's rowing team is ready to make waves and we couldn't be more excited.

First up, we have Paige Badenhorst getting Team SA started with the heat of the Women's Single Scull (W1X) at 10:12am. Paige needs a top 3 finish to progress directly to the quarterfinals. Let's send her all our support and positive vibes!

On Sunday at 11:20am, the Men's Pair of Christopher Baxter and John Smith will begin their Olympic Regatta. They need a top 3 finish to move on to the A/B Semi-final. We know they've got what it takes!

Thanks to everyone for your support and messages - the team loves hearing from you! You might have noticed the rowers were absent from Team SA during the opening ceremony. This is because they're staying closer to the rowing course, which is a long journey from Paris, to ensure they are in top condition for their events this weekend.

Another interesting fact: Team South Africa was one of the first countries presented at the opening ceremony because the countries marched in the order of their French names, and South Africa is "Afrique du Sud."

We want to give a massive shoutout to Head Coach Tiago Loureiro for his hard work and dedication over the past three years. A special thanks as well to Technical Director Grant Dodds for his support and planning. The incredible support team behind the scenes makes this journey possible and we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

Let's cheer on our rowers and show the world the strength and spirit of Team South Africa! ߒ갟꣦zwj;♀️ߚ㦺wj;♂️߇ﰟ禦lt;br />
