Hockey | Fixtures and tickets Released for the Third Edition of the Nkosi Cup

The stage is set for one of the showpiece events on the South African hockey calendar as the fixtures for the 2025 Nkosi Cup have officially been released. The tournament will take place at the Wynberg Military Base Stadium in Cape Town from 12–16 December 2025, promising five days of high-intensity international hockey action.

Now in its third edition, the Nkosi Cup has quickly established itself as a premier event, bringing together some of the world’s top hockey nations. This year, the men’s and women’s tournaments will each feature five teams, competing first in a pool format before heading into semi-finals and finals to crown the champions.

Fans can look forward to mouth-watering clashes, including opening night encounters that see South Africa face New Zealand in both the men’s and women’s tournaments, while neighbouring rivals Namibia and Zimbabwe meet in the women’s opener. The fixtures also feature traditional powerhouses Australia and USA, ensuring a diverse and competitive lineup.

The finals on Tuesday, 16 December,South Africa’s Day of Reconciliation, are set to provide a fitting climax, as the best of world hockey battle it out for the prestigious Nkosi Cup trophy.
