Huge congratulations to Gilbert Chalwe, on his excellent 'come from behind' win in the BSI Premier Academy Cycle 2 72-Hole Championship Medal with a score of 1-under 287 on Royal Johannesburg's East and West Courses, played from 18 to 21 June. Gilbert was 9 shots behind going into the Final round and with a faultless 4th round, shot the lowest round of the tournament with a 6-under 66 to take 1st place by a clear 5 shots. Part of Gilbert's great round was an incredible Eagle 2 on hole 16 on West. Gilbert has truly shown how one can bounce back from adversity, as his injury at the beginning of the year seems to be a thing of the past. Great going Gilbert! |
