A huge congratulations to BSI PGA Alumni, Jacques van der Merwe, on his emphatic victory at the Betway Big Easy Tour #5 tournament held at CMR Golf Course.

This maiden win has come remarkably quickly, just eight months after Jacques graduated from BSI in 2024, as he lifts the silverware and makes a bold statement in the professional ranks.

Jacques claimed victory by two shots, delivering all three rounds under par with an opening 65, a sensational second-round 63, and a closing 67 for a total of 195.

We always knew it was only a matter of time, but to see it happen so soon is truly impressive. From his early days in our Junior Academy to completing his PGA Diploma, Jacques has shown that with the right discipline and commitment, it’s possible to refine your golf game while gaining the academic foundation for a bright future. We couldn’t be prouder!
