NEWLANDS – Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) CEO Corrie van Zyl congratulated the winners at the annual WPCA awards held at World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground on Wednesday, 3 September 2025. The event was a chance to look back on and celebrate a successful season for both the men’s and women’s World Sports Betting Western Province teams in a night full of sparkle and excitement.

WP Cricket also held an amateur awards ceremony on Saturday morning, 30 August 2025, to celebrate the best players from club cricket.
WPCA President, Johannes Adams, echoed the celebratory mood, stating: “Last night was a testament to the incredible talent and hard work within our system. From our club cricketers to our professional stars, these awards highlight the depth of passion for the game in Western Province. We are not just building winning teams but also nurturing the future of South African cricket.”
The WSB Women’s team had a very successful season, keeping their Hollywoodbets Pro20 title and finishing second in the Hollywoodbets Pro50.

The Boys in Blue also finished fifth in the CSA 4-Day Series, where left-arm spinner Kyle Simmonds took 25 wickets in just four matches.
The spotlight was on Girls in Blue bowler Kayla Reyneke and Boys in Blue all-rounder George Linde, who each won two and three awards, respectively.
