Cricket | SWD Umpires Excelled in the match between the SA Schools and SA Colts

Lyndon Volkwyn (on-field) and Nathan Rhodes (third umpire) were appointed to officiate in the match between the SA Schools and SA Colts at Newlands in Cape Town on Saturday 21 December 2025.

Both umpires officiated in the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Khaya Majola National tournament that was hosted in Cape Town and their appointment was made following their performances at the tournament.

Volkwyn is a previous SWD provincial player who also represented the SA Tertiary team.

Rhodes is the secretary of the SWD Cricket Umpires Association.

Volkwyn was also appointed to officiate in the CSA National Cubs tournament that will takes place in Stellenbosch between 3-8 January 2025.
