
Cricket | SWD Schools T20 Competition Winners Determined
The newly introduced SA Schools T20 competition has reached its business end.

Ms Tarryn Plaatjies, SWD Schools Executive member, hands over the trophy as winners of the SA Schools SWD T20 U/19 Girls’ title to Jeze Campher, the captain of the Bridgton u/19 Girls’Hub team.
The Boy’s winner will be determined on Tuesday 5 November 2024 when the respective hub teams of D’Almeida and Bridgton will contest for the gold medal. D’Almeida 156/6 defeated York High (100/4) by 56 runs in the first semi-final. Bridgton Hub (60/1) cruised to a 9-wicket victory against Point High (59/9).

GIRLS’ FINAL

In the Girls’ final the Bridgton Hub was too strong as they surpassed a modest target of 68/4 in the 9th over after Thembalethu only posted 67/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
