Cricket | SWD Cricket Umpires Held AGM and Awards Function

The SWD Cricket Umpires Association held their Annual General Meeting and awards function at Rooirivier-rif in George on Saturday.

The newly elected Executive Committee is:

• Back Row: Nathan Rhodes (Secretary), André Olivier (Training Coordinator), Lyndon Volkwyn (Treasurer)
• Front Row:  San-Marie Strydom (Additional member), Mario Jansen (Chairman), Luzuko Mralazi (Vice-Chairman) and Moses Carolus (Additional Member). 
• Pieter Maritz (Additional member) was absent.

Special awards for exemplary commitment and service to the association was handed-over to Moses Carolus, James Phillips, and Wilhelm Sanders.

Luzuko Mralazi received the award as administrator of the year, San-Marie Strydom as the most improved umpire, and as the keenest umpire.

The league winners were:

• Women’s Division 1: Deidre Majiedt
• Women's Division 2: Cedlan Solomons
• Reserve League: John Frans
• Promotion League: Pieter Maritz
• Premier League: Lyndon Volkwyn
