Cricket | Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers At Crossroads
The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers will take on the Mpumalanga Rhinos in the Cricket South Africa Division 2 Four-day competition this weekend at Uplands College in White River.

For the Badgers this is a must win match should they wish to keep their aspirations alive for a place in the final of this competition. Yaseen Valli and his troops had an inconsistent season in the red ball campaign, and they will have to fire on all cylinders.

The Badgers are currently sixth on the log – 37.96 points after three matches where they won one, lost one and draw one. The Northern Cape Heat are leading at 79.82 points after four matches. Their opponents for the weekend are at 46.54 points after three matches and are unbeaten.
The Badgers will also keep an eye on the weather in the Lowveld after heavy rain poured down the past weekend in that region.

Besides Thomas Kaber who is on duty with MI Cape Town in the SA20 competition and Enathi Kitshini who is on duty with the SA u/19 team for their series against England all the players are fit and ready to go. Batter, Ruan Terblanche, who was side-lined due to injury for the first half of the season makes a welcome return to the squad.
The squad of the Badgers for the weekend is:
Yaseen Valli (captain), Kyle Jacobs, George van Heerden, Luke Beaufort, Kelly Smuts, Keenan Vieira, Ruan Terblanche, Pheko Moletsane, Liyabona Malife, Jarred Jardine, Hlompo Modimokoane, Lifa Ntanzi and Sintu Majiza.
