Cricket | Celebrating Greatness: Baartman And Dercksen Take Honours At CSA Awards

JOHANNESBURG: South African women’s star Annerie Dercksen and Protea hero Otniel Baartman were amongst the recipients  at the glittering Cricket South Africa Awards ceremony that was held at Emperors Palace in East Johannesburg on Thursday 31 August 2025.

In the men’s categories former SWD player and Outdsthoorn born, Ottneil Baartman, was named Men’s International Newcomer of the Year. Baartman is currently contracted with the Dolphins and has played for SWD between 2015-2017.

In the women’s category, Annerie Dercksen from the Garden Route Badgers, received the One-Day International Player of the Year award.

Shaun Pretorius, the head coach of the Lions women’s team,  received the Hollywoodbets Pro Series Coach of the Year honour. Pretorius is a former coach of the SWD Women’s team.
