Cricket | Badgers Ready For Limpopo Impala
The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers will take on Limpopo Impala in the Cricket South Africa Division 2 Four day competition this weekend.
Although the Badgers lost their previous fixture against the Tuskers they are still contenders in this competition but a victory against the Impala will be non-negotiable. The Badgers will have home ground advantage at the Recreation Ground.
The Badgers are currently third on the log – 28.16 points after two matches. The Tuskers are leading at 60.72 points after three matches followed by the Northern Cape Heat at 55.44 points after three matches. Limpopo Impala has only played on match and with victory they are at 23.54 points in the fifth place.
Keenan Vieira (fractured finger) who impressed with the bat for the Colts team will be unavailable for selection but Ruan Terblanche who was sidelined for the season thus far is fit and will be considered for selection. Coach, Gurshwin Rabie, has also added the 18 year old spin bowler, Enathi Kitshini, to squad and it is very likely that he will make his first class debut for the Badgers.
