Kelly Duke

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13. With a disability it is a bit more challenging to accomplish your dreams especially in the sports industry.

Kelly SA Baseball and SA Baseball 5

My name is Kelly and I was born with one side of the brain that doesn't function fully. This has caused deafness in the left ear and struggling with speech and communication. I have hearing aids that send signals to my brain so that I can respond. Even with these hearing aids I still struggles and I have a delay of 5 to 7 seconds when someone speaks or to respond to a coach. I have audio processing as well.

It’s a privilege to be a part of the SA u18 ladies baseball team and SA u18 Baseball 5 team. Playing these sports brings me so much joy and peace, it brings me into a space where I know I can do anything I put my mind to. Allowing others with a disability to know that if they love it and have faith they can accomplish their greatest achievements. It has been a difficult journey but nothing can stop my dedication and determination for the love of the game.

I’m trying to raise money to make my dreams come true and to represent my country. Any donations or sponsors will help in every way possible.
