Dear Sir/Madam

I am an HDI Female of 33 years of age who is a proud South African born and bred in KZN and I am passionate sports women in Bodybuilding.

Having highlighted the above, I'm sending you this email in request for a sponsorship for my international quest to Compete in a Bodybuilding competition in Tokyo, Japan on 16-19 December 2024.

This assignment is very critical to me so as to showcase my talent in bodybuilding and that black women of South Africa could compete in Bodybuilding on a Global stage, and I will give it my all best should I get the opportunity and the exposure to travel to Tokyo as I feel that I have a unique talent.

I have been competing since 2020, which was my first competition. I then continued in 2022 and did a total of 4 competitions throughout the year.

  • OR Tambo Night of Championships in Umtata and I placed 1st.
  • East Coast Classics I placed 1st.
  • KZN Provincials I placed 1st and got selected to be a part of the KZN team which went on to competing in the SA Championships to choose the SA Team.
  • SA Championships I placed 4th and received a call to state that I had made it into the SA Team that was traveling to Spain. Unfortunately, I was not able to travel with the team because of lack of funding and no sponsorship.

*NB - I have attached my images in the order of all the competitions I have mentioned above to date.

I then took a break in 2023 and came back 2024. I have only competed in two shows for this year, KZN Provincials and I placed 1st and got selected for the KZN team which went on the compete at Nationals for the SA Team and I placed 3rd in my Category (Body fitness). I have yet again achieved another milestone and got selected for the SA Team that will be traveling to Tokyo, Japan later this year.

I was disheartened in 2022, when I had to not only let go of my personal dream but the dream to also represent my country at the world stage, as a young black female. My resilience and from family and those close to me has, however, helped me to not only revive my dream but to work even harder in pursuit of achieving it. I have done the first part, yet again, of qualifying to represent my country, however, I am met, yet again, with the same stumbling block of lack of funding and sponsorship. It is for this reason, therefore, that I send this e-mail to your department to assist in any way you can. I would also appreciate any advice on which doors to knock for any further assistance. I have attached an official sponsorship letter below as well as a link to my Back-a-Buddy page where all donations can be made.
