Morne De Villiers has been Waveski surfing his whole life.
Since he was very young he has had great love for the ocean and everything aquatic. When he is not surfing he is volunteering to teach others to surf - giving his time to spread the love of what he does. He spends most weekends on the beach, between his training, helping others learn and follow their own dreams of competing in Waveski surfing events.
Despite enduring personal difficulties and not having a home, he never gave up on his dreams to become a professional surfer. Instead, he devoted his time to volunteering for outreaches with the Christian Surfers Association Cape Town and is grateful for the blessings God has afforded him through his generosity. The privilege of being a part of growing young minds and being an example of hope and humility to others continues to inspire Morne toward continued self-improvement spiritually and physically.
Morne has competed in two open competitions, including the SA Championships, and has qualified to take part in the PRE WORLDS contests at Jongensfontein and Jeffreys Bay in mid-June. To get there he needs your support. The entry fee is R6,000, while accommodation, food and travel costs will be around R10,000 so Morne needs a total of R16,000 to fulfill his dream of competing in the Pre Worlds and WORLD Championships event at Nahoof Reef outside East London at the end of June into July.
