2024 World Lifesaving Championships | Marine Surfboat Rowing Woman's Crew needs your Help
The crew is in the process of fundraising to secure funding for an International trip in Kurruwa, Gold Coast, Australia, to compete at the 2024 World Lifesaving Championships.
The phenomenal Marine Surf Lifesaving Club Surfboat Crew of dedicated ladies has through grit, determination, many hours of hard work and fantastic team spirit, epitomised what it takes to become champions. They have won the South African Surfboat Championships back-to-back in 2022 & 2023. The crew is known by their team's name which is the “Marine Mongrels” – they are: -

- Ciarda “Pinky” Sharp
- Janeira “ Jeremiah” Reddy
- Gary “Sweep” Brummer
This amazing crew will be participating in the 2024 LIFESAVING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, taking place in Kurrawa, Gold Coast, AUSTRALIA, August 2024 to test their mettle against the World’s Best Surfboat Crews. This crew will make South African Sports and Lifesaving history in being the first ever female surfboat crew to participate in a World Championship event. The trip also serves to grow and develop our young female members into our leaders of tomorrow.
Any assistance via donations, sponsorship, support of fundraising campaigns etc will be welcome and highly appreciated. Acknowledgment of support can be returned via company branding as preferred and agreed upon.
The budget/target for funding is R60 000 per member – R300 000 in total. This is required for:- • Entry fees • Visas • Return Air Flights • Accommodation • Food • Transport • Kit Any form of support that you may be able to render will be highly appreciated and put to good use, whether - product, samples, prizes, vouchers, etc to assist in our many fundraising initiatives or direct funding towards the covering of costs.
