PARA TRIATHLON
Men’s PTVI final: Gavin Kilpatrick (guide: Moodie Casper) finished seventh behind gold medallist David Ellis of England. Kilpatrick finished in 1hr 10min 7sec, which was 12:28 off the winner. He came out the water in eighth, moved up to sixth on the bike and then cross the line in the run in seventh. David Jones (guide: Kennedy Rohan) did not start
Women’s PTVI final: Linsay Engelbrecht (guide: Heimann Trish) finished fifth in 1:23:27, which was 12:55 behind gold medallist Katie Crowhurst of England. Engelbrecht made up ground on the run, after exiting both the swim and bike stages in seventh

Men’s semi-final: South Africa 24 Australia 12
Australia led 12-5 but lost a player to a yellow card on the stroke of half time and SA capitalised when Angelo Davids scored his second try of the match to make it 12-12 at the interval. Shortly afterwards Selvyn Davids scored and converted (19-12) from a charge-down kick. Angelo Davids sealed things in the final minute with his 11th try of the Games for 24-12

Men’s 200m butterfly, heats: Chad Le Clos finished second in his heat in 1:56.85 after leading at halfway and qualified second quickest for the final, which is taking place exactly 10 years to the night he beat Michael Phelps at the 2012 London Olympics
Men’s 50m backstroke, heats: Pieter Coetze, who took 100m gold, won his heat in 24.95 to qualify fastest heading into the semi-finals
Men’s 100m freestyle, heats: Pieter Coetze was seventh in his heat in 50.33 and qualified for the semi-finals in 16th spot, while Guy Brooks was fifth in his heat in 50.68 for 19th overall and he didn’t reach the semi-finals
Women’s 200m breaststroke, heats: Olympic champion Tatjana Schoenmaker won her heat in a fast 2:21.76 to qualify first for the final. It was quicker than the time which won gold at this year’s World Championships. Kaylene Corbett finished second in her heat in 2:25.08 and qualified fourth fastest for the final
Women’s 50m butterfly, heats: Erin Gallagher finished fourth in her heat in 26.96, while birthday girl Rebecca Meder placed fourth in her heat in 27.16. Trinity Hearne was seventh in her heat in 27.83. Gallagher (10th) and Meder (11th) qualified for the semi-finals
