Team SA Judo at Africa Champs

The SA Senior National Team came back with one silver and three bronze medals from the recent Africa Judo Championships held in Oran, Algeria. Thomas Breytenbach starred in the -90kg division, taking silver. He is still only 21 and competed in a category where the other medal winners averaged 31, so he has a huge future ahead of him. Olympian Micheala Whitebooi won bronze in the -48kg category, while Charné Griesel (-52kg) and Jasmine Martin (-57kg) also secured bronze medals.
