Team SA athletes wrap up successful Para World Champs
 

Simone Kruger smashed the F38 Discus World Record to secure a second gold medal for Team SA, settling their tally at four medals for the Paris 2023 Para Athletics World Championships.

Kruger bagged South Africa’s second gold medal after a remarkable throw of 38.1m that saw her beat the previous World Record in the F38 Discus event

Team SA’s first gold medal was won by Mpumelelo Mhlongo, who clinched the top spot in the T44 100m.

Louzanne Coetzee accounted for South Africa’s silver medal after placing second in the Women’s 1500m T11.

The bronze medal was secured by Kerwin Noemdo in the Men’s Shot Put F46.
