A massive congratulations to the South African u/14 boys team of Connor Doig, Siyabonga Jaca and John Bothma who have qualified for the ITF World Junior Tennis finals after beating Egypt 3-0 at the African Junior Team Championships (AJTC) for Boys & Girls 14 & under and 16 & under in Cairo, Egypt this past weekend.

The team will fly the African flag in the premier global team event for the under-14 players that is set to take place in the Czech Republic later this year.

However, their female counterparts in the same age group category, who qualified for the prestigious event in 2019, missed out after losing 2-1 to winners, Egypt, which meant they finished third.

The boys and girls’ under-16 teams also finished in third positions.

Boys u/14 – South Africa beat Egypt 3-0

Girls u/14 – Egypt beat South Africa 2-1

Boys u/16 – South Africa beat Tunisia 3-0

Girls u/16 – Morocco beat South Africa 3-0
