What?
The Rip Curl GromSearch Nahoon Reef, presented by Sea Harvest, is the third contest in the five-part Rip Curl GromSearch surfing series at various venues along our coastline. The previous contest was at Port Alfred, and the following event will be held in KZN.
Where?
The competition will take place at Nahoon Reef, the premier wave in East London. It is a powerful right-hand reef break that has produced many top surfers and is the perfect location for high-performance surfing. May is a good time for favourable conditions at Nahoon Reef, and the long-term forecast looks promising.
When?
The tournament will take place from 17 - 19 May and will be a full three days of surfing. Entries are still OPEN but are expected to fill up over the next few days. After the entries have closed off, the event schedule will be published and available on Live Heats.

The Rip Curl GromSearch series is the country's most popular junior series, and the events are always busy. The premier division of the series is the U16 division, and the top four results out of five will determine the 2023 Rip Curl Gromsearch Series Results.
The Rip Curl GromSearch tournament is a Surfing South Africa event. It is presented by Sea Harvest and supported by The National Lottery, Oakhampton B&B and Buffalo City.
The Rip Curl GromSearch contests are all premier SAST events, with 1,000 points going to the winners and prizemoney per all premier events.
