South African Rally Raid Championship Rounds 4 & 5

Red-Lined Motorsport together with the Penta Motor Group heads to mielie and beef country for a double-header’s worth of the Nampo 800, the 5th and penultimate round of the South African Rally-Raid championship on the 30 September and 1 October. It is another big one for the team with, an incredible record in the offering and some exciting new upgrades on our Red-Lined REVO T1.

 

“We head to the Free State for another exciting weekend of South African Rally-Raid adventure around the cornfields of Bothaville,” Red-Lined team principal Terence Marsh confirmed. “It’s an especially big weekend for the Penta pairing of Philip Botha and Roelof Janse van Vuren, who stare a really special achievement in their face aboard their Red-Lined VK56, while our two REVO’S will be running some new bits that we expect will bring a little more pace, too.”

 

Botha and van Vuren and their Penta branded VK56 have already made history by finishing every single stage, day, and event they have started since making their Rally-Raid debut back in 2020. Should they finish both events at this weekend’s Nampo event, they will have successfully completed 50 consecutive racing stages since their debut, to set an incredible new benchmark for fellow businessmen racers. “Our Penta Red-Lined VK56 is primed and ready to race,” Philip Botha confirmed. “We are looking forward to another amazing adventure in the Free State!”

 

It is also an exciting weekend ahead for Chris Visser and Albertus Venter and their Dragon Energy powered Red-Lined REVO, which will arrive in the Free State carrying new upgrades as the Red-Lined team continues to develop this race car ahead of the exciting launch of their REVO T1+ later in the year. “We are taking a few Upgrades to the Nampo race that should make us a little more competitive. “The plan is to go one place up on our second overall last time out! “The REVO is fast becoming a major force to be reckoned with the hotly contested T1 class and we look forward to taking everything to the next level in the Free State.”

 

Red-Lined Motorsport is taking a four-car team to the Nampo 800 Rally-Raid. Dubai-based Brit Thomas Edward Bell and Wade Harris are looking to build on their solid start to the season aboard their Red-Lined REVO. Former track racer and Rally-Raid rookie Johan de Bruyn meanwhile continues to impress and raise his game each time out alongside experienced notes man Gerhard Schutte in their PentaSure branded VK56.
