Jason Evans 2024 BSA Masters South Africa's best ready to challenge for top honours The 2024 Bowls South Africa Men's Nationals in Johannesburg is set to be one of the toughest challenges yet.   A large field is descending on the JBA district this week in preparation for the national championships played from 4 May to 12 May and headquartered at Bedfordview Country Club.   Over 2100 players will be in action over the course of the prestigious tournament which has all of the leading players looking to grab one of the three trophies on offer.   The standard was set in the ...

Anneke Scheepers sealed another major title when she won the Open Singles at the 2024 BSA Women’s Nationals in Cape Town on Saturday. Scheepers has been at the top of the game for some time but with her performance this week only further enhanced her reputation. A quarter-final defeat in the pairs left Scheepers honing in on gold in the singles. She admitted a sense of relief after her final victory against a stalwart of the game in Sylvia Burns. “It was a long week. Lots of bowls but I managed to keep my head down and my concentration was important in going the distance,” said Scheepers. ...
