" Our vision is to become the first community basketball team to be classified as a professional team "

Black Ravens Basketball Club is a professional basketball team in the making, the club was established late 2022 and is located in Thaba nchu Free State the club is the brainchild of Itumeleng Papane who's currently the team head coach together with Eugene Mothlale as the assistant coach and their team manager Goitsemodimo Madibo.

Talking to the head coach/team founder he alerted that he has big dreams for the club as he aims to make Black Ravens Basketball Club the first community team to go pro in their community and province, from the beginning of the club creation we've seen the progress on their social media platforms which includes the team finishing second place on the first league season of RoyalOne Basketball League.

Which is what motivated the team to work even hard as after the end of the first league season the team received their first basketball kit sponsorship from Crunch Time Sports ( A Nigerian Sports Kit manufacturers) which later the team decided that the team will only wear the kit on their away games as they have another kit for home games.

" Getting ready for the upcoming RoyalOne Basketball League season we decided to make some changes to our team roster by Itumeleng Papane " , Black Ravens Basketball Club announced that they'll be adding few players on their roster and that included adding the following players , Neville Bron and Damilare Omole , it is said that the team roster will change as time goes as the coach will be doing inside basketball trials with a different team hoping to be added to his club.

" We are stronger together , Ravens fly in packs never individual "

Black Ravens Basketball Club also announced their first official supporters/fans merchandise will be available for sales as they announced their much anticipated brand called " Basketball Junkies " kindly go to their official pages to check the merchandise etc.

The current male  team roster includes 1 Vuyane Yoyi 2 Temoso Thate 3 Wame Mogapi 4 Damilare Omole 5 Orefile Letebele 6 Tshwaro Loots 7 Gosiame Ledibane 8 Neville Bron,

It is in our plans to also have women team and both boys and girls development team which could be U15 to U18 as we are strong believers of building our community through sports.

We as the club are not yet funded as the players pay for the trips they  take to play for the league and sometimes we end up having shortage of practicing equipment due to lack of funds we also believe that's some of the reasons we haven't launched our development programs yet , So if there's anyone who's willing to assist us or become one of our team investors/partners you can email our team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Also we have game requests from other teams outside Free State so we would appreciate any donations towards the trip as it would do good for us and the players anything you can donate you can contact us on the above email as it's the official email for the team.
