Gauteng has 5 geo political districts and 4 of the 5 have active junior and senior basketball leagues. At junior level the province sits at about 200 teams participating in formal and informal leagues organized at regional and district level. It’s no wonder the province are reigning u16 and u18 national champions at inter provincial championships organized by the mother body Basketball South Africa for both boys and girls.
