Closing out a successful inaugural campaign, the first edition of the Track+Field high schools' athletics series will culminate in the National Final to be held at the University of Johannesburg Athletics Stadium in Johannesburg on 10 and 11 April.

Nine meetings were held in each of South Africa's provinces this year, giving young athletes a chance to showcase their talent and providing opportunities to institutions which don't often get the chance to compete in top-flight schools' athletics.
To be as inclusive as possible, the organisers and their partners - SuperSport, SA Schools Athletics and Athletics South Africa - did not charge entry fees for athletes or schools to take part, and a wide range of high schools turned out to compete, with some remarkable talent emerging from all areas of the country.
The top boys' and girls' school in each province qualified to participate in the National Final where the best track and field schools in the country will be crowned as overall champions.
In total, 18 schools will participate, with over 500 athletes taking part at UJ Stadium.
"We've travelled the country, going to all nine provinces, and we've crowned the best schools in each province," said series co-founder and former Olympic sprinter Mathew Quinn.
"All those champions will now converge on the UJ Stadium to compete for the title of being the number one school in South Africa who will walk away with the ultimate bragging rights. We have nine provinces on one track. Let's settle this."
The two-day T+F National Final will be broadcast live on SuperSport Variety 4.
