Seven courses in six countries over a span of two months – this is one way of summing up a busy period of educational activities for the FIG in Africa.

The dates for the regional finals of the fifth edition of the Growthpoint Top Guns (national club event) have been announced.
Free State are the first to hold their regional final - on the 22nd and 23rd October - with the majority of the events to be played from November onwards.
Dates for Buffalo City, Northern Cape and Cape Town are yet to be confirmed.

With entries having closed for the BNP Paribas RCS Rising Star Tennis series, the 2022 campaign is set to involve a record number of teams from over 1 000 schools around the country.
The nationwide tennis development programme, which is being held for the third year, has attracted players and teams from 1 036 schools – a 29% increase in entries from last season.

South African veteran softball administrator, Mathew’s “Bra Tebe” Kuktumela has been inducted into the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s (WBSC) Hall of Fame at the 4th Congress which was held from July 5 in Taipei, Taiwan.
A total of 11 countries were represented in the Hall of Fame class.

JOHANNESBURG: The Cricket South Africa (CSA) Women’s Selection Committee has announced the SA U19 Women’s squad for the inaugural ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup South Africa 2023.
The 15-player squad and two non-travelling reserves will participate in CSA Women’s Super League and a five-match T20 series against India U19W leading up to the tournament. Oluhle Siyo, from Lions Cricket will lead the side with Easterns’ Madison Landman as vice-captain.

STELLENBOSCH: The Southern Superstars ended the Central Gladiators unbeaten status on the third day of Cricket South Africa (CSA) Cubs Week 2023.
