The 2024/25 domestic leagues of South Western Districts Cricket will kick-off on Saturday with the Six Gun Grill T20 competition.

The SWD u/19’s who participate in the Six Gun Grill SWD T20 knock-out competition has again won its pool and will now qualify for the quarter finals.

The pool stages of the Six Gun Grill SWD league competition will be concluded this weekend and the respective pool winners will advance to the quarter final’s which will be played on 12th of October.

South Western Districts Cricket, on Saturday in Oudtshoorn, hosted a very successful KFC provincial mini-cricket seminar.

The third round of the Six Gun Grill SWD Premier league was contested on Saturday and all eyes will be on the two unbeaten log leaders the upcoming weekend.

A big clash is on the cards for Saturday when the two log leaders, Pacaltsdorp United and Sussex, will lock heads in the Six Gun Grill SWD Premier league. The match will be played at D’Almeida in Mossel Bay.

South Western Districts Cricket on Saturday hosted a very successful specialist camp for fast bowlers and wicket keepers for emerging and youth players (both boy’s and girls’ in George).

It was a big weekend for Union Stars as both the Oudtshoorn based teams came out on top of both their Six Gun Grill SWD Cricket premier league fixtures on Saturday.  Union Stars I is now the only unbeaten side in the competition and move to the number one position on the table.

The Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers Colts team had mixed success the past weekend when they took on their Western Province counterparts in Cape Town.

The emerging of local players to international level is one of the success stories of the cricket programs of SWD Cricket.

Fireworks are expected at Pacaltsdorp on Saturday where the log leaders, Union Stars I will take on the defending champions – Pacaltsdorp United in a premier league clash.  Union Stars will be full of confidence after their victory against Sussex while Pacaltsdorp will need a victory to move from their current third position on the log.
