Seven players without any HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series experience have been named in the Springbok Women’s Sevens squad for their first World Series event since December 2019, when they travel to France this weekend.

Eben Etzebeth and Bongi Mbonambi celebrated their Springbok Test milestones in style in Cape Town on Saturday after South Africa sealed the Castle Lager Incoming Series with a XXXX win over Wales.
It was Etzebeth’s 100th Test, while Mbonambi celebrated his 50th by scoring one of the Boks’ three tries, the others courtesy of Handre Pollard and Siya Kolisi.
