It was business as usual at the front of both the men’s and women’s races on day one of the 2025 Dusi Canoe Marathon with Andy Birkett and Christie Mackenzie winning their respective stages.

It was a day that had the potential to upset the apple cart, however, the class of Andy Birkett and Christie Mackenzie shone through as they both extended their leads in the 2025 Dusi Canoe Marathon men’s and women’s races respectively.
