World Rugby U20 Championships 2024 played its part in reducing plastic pollution in South Africa.
Efforts to reduce single use plastics during the tournament sees an innovative initiative where both recyclable and non-recyclable plastic waste collected at the stadia and hotels are converted into construction bricks. The bricks are used in the construction of social housing in South Africa.
Players from different teams visited the plant where these plastic bricks are being manufactured!
