FIH Hockey5s World Cup | Fixtures released

FIH today announced the fixtures for the inaugural FIH Hockey5s World Cup in Oman in January. The draw had already been announced earlier in the year, but the South African Women Hockey5s team now know their schedule for the historic event.

The South Africans begin their Muscat adventure with a Southern African showdown against Zambia on 24 January. 7 hours later they will hope to take opening game momentum into an exciting clash with Oceania giants Australia. The group stage is completed the following day as South Africa face their third different continental opponent, this time Europe’s Ukraine.

The top two in each pool progress to the Quarter-Final and Semi-Final rounds on 26 January before the finals are played on 27 January to crown the first ever Hockey5s World Champion.
