Kenyan distance runner Kelvin Kiptum (© Mattia Ozbot)   World Athletics is deeply saddened to hear that marathon world record-holder Kelvin Kiptum died in a road traffic accident on Sunday (11) at the age of 24. Kiptum’s coach Gervais Hakizimana, who was in the car with the Kenyan distance runner, also died in the accident along Eldoret-Kaptagat Road. SA Team's World Championship Campaign Closes With Marathon Trio   South Africa's campaign came to a close on Sunday with three road runners competing in the morning session on the final day of competition at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Tumelo Motlagale was the top South African finisher in the men's marathon, taking 51st place in a field of 84 athletes.
