Tshithuthuni Learners

This event is a continuation of the Let's Play initiative, designed to empower rural learners through sports and foster Centres of Sporting Excellence.

Learners

In partnership with the Premier League and British Council, the event showcased the implementation of knowledge and skills gained by teachers who underwent specialised training in sports project planning and management. Tshithuthuni Primary was one of four Let's Play Centres of Sporting Excellence to undergo this unique training, aimed at empowering teachers to organise and manage sports programs, create holiday activities, and establish sustainable sports hubs in rural communities.

Tshithuthuni Primary

This Fun Run marked the teachers' first assignment post-training and highlighted the ongoing commitment to enhancing access to sports for rural learners. Similar events were held at three other schools across South Africa – Tsholomnqa High, Boikhutsho Primary, and Nomfihlela Primary.

Tshithuthuni LP Fun Run

Let's Play has impacted over 1.6 million learners across South Africa, providing opportunities for young people to participate in sports activities, enhancing physical education, and fostering teamwork.
