South Western Districts has appointed Merlin Masimela as the new Youth Cricket Coordinator at the company.
Merlin MasimelaMasimela, who matriculated at Langenhoven Gymnasium in Oudtshoorn, brings a wide variety of skills and expertise to this position. He is a former youth elite coach at SWD Cricket and was employed as the KFC Mini Cricket Coordinator at SWD Cricket for the past three years.
“We are delighted to have Mr Masimela in this vital position. He will be a big asset to grow youth cricket in the SWD.”, said Gary Moos, the Cricket Services Manager of SWD Cricket. He took office on 1 October 2025.
